Salisbury boss pleased with draw

Salisbury manager Tommy Widdrington was delighted with his side's performance as they held Cambridge United to a goalless draw in the FA Trophy.It was the Whites' fourth successive clean sheet in league and cup as they secured a replay at the Raymond McEnhill Stadium next Tuesday.

Widdrington told BBC Wiltshire: "The lads applied themselves magnificently, we were built on solid foundations.

"I'm delighted. All in all there wasn't a lot went wrong for me."

He added: "We came up here with a game plan. I thought we took the game to Cambridge ever so well from the start of the game."

Widdrington was also pleased with the performance of new signing Chris Giles.

"I thought Chris Giles had a magnificent debut and I think he slotted alongside Jamie (Turley) and looked like they'd played together before," he said.

"I know what I'm getting with him, he's an honest lad. Considering he hasn't started a match for quite a while I thought he was excellent."

The winners of the tie will face Tamworth in the quarter-finals.
