The former Yeovil, Aldershot and Forest Green defender had been sidelined since picking up an injury whilst playing for Crawley against Salisbury in November. Giles told BBC Wiltshire: "The lads seem a great bunch. Tommy (Widdrington) has really impressed me, I'm really looking forward to it." The defender, who started his career with Yeovil before joining Aldershot in 2004, added: "The league gets harder and harder every year. It has got far more professional, the majority of the teams are full-time." Giles, who was one of five new signings made by the club during the January transfer window, said that he has already been impressed with Salisbury's new owners. "I've heard they want to do everything right and get the club sorted and on the up. It's only a good thing. "I'm just looking forward to having a fresh start and keeping injury free."
